Had some fun animating Super III’s rival character today

Anonymous asked: Are you the main artist for Delver too, or are you just animating? I've always loved the art in Delver!

Nope, you can find the main artist’s tumblr here.

what I’m doing is taking the character animations that currently use only 1 or 2 frames (all of them,) like these:

and making them look like these:

I’m also adding any extra animations that are needed to flesh out enemies and NPCs past what they currently have

It’s really just to lighten the load - there’s only 2 people working on the game other than me so another artist gives them time to focus on other things

I’m doing character animations for Delver!I had been wanting to post something about this for awhile - I started pretty shortly after the Super III kickstarter went up. I’ll be adding to the animations that characters have already, giving animations to things that need them and making everything more active and… animated, I guess.Anyway Delver is a really cool game so far and you should all check it out when you get the chance.

mbchips asked: How did you become a professional artist full time? I aspire to do the same, and would like to know if you have any tips for me. I love your work.

there’s really not any advice for this. like, honestly. there are tips people can give you for getting yourself into a routine every day (which is important) or for making sure you don’t burn out (which is also important) but uh

advice on actually being an artist? there’s not that much to say. you just kind of.. do it. get your name out there, but never for free. do not ever accept less than you are worth. accept that you’ll be working on a lot of duds and things people will never hear of. things that probably won’t ever be released. accept that you might not hate yourself enough to want to do this full time.

be patient and never stop loving yourself

Anonymous asked: Hi professionalmanlyguy69 i was wondering if you do freelance and/or full time work.

i do but im also giggling at the line “hi professionalmanlyguy69” i thought you should be aware of this

Here’s the big update I mentioned earlier! Super III now has a multiplayer mode!

As always, the kickstarter is over here. Donate, reblog, etc. Anything helps
